Et tu, Covfefe? Shakespeare in the Park Play Depicts Assassination of Donald Trump

Trump as Julius Caesar in Shakespeare in the Park

At a play held in central park’s Shakespeare in the Park, on a modern take on the play Julius Caesar, depicts the assassination of Donald Trump. While the play doesn’t explicitly mentions Trump’s name, the fact that the actor playing Caesar is blond, wears a business suit and is assassinated by a crowd of women and minorities certainly attempts to allude towards the current president. The performance has resulted in a significant backlash to NYC’s Public Theater organization ranging from people who find the play distasteful to losing sponsorships from Delta Air Lines and Bank of America.
