Fappening 3.0: Celebrity Nudes Leaked en Masse, Again

Here we go again. Another payload of explicit celebrity pictures has been leaked. Some of the celebrities involved include Miley Cyrus, Kristen Stewart, Lindsey Vonn and others. It is not yet known who is responsible for the leaks. However, it is suspected the hack happened through the cloud storage on the victims’ phones. Some of the A-listers are threatening legal action against the perpetrator and any site publishing the hacked photos.

Dubbed “The Fappening 3.0” by the media, this leak is the third instances where explicit pictures of celebrities are released en mass. The full lineup of celebrities affected by the leaks is Singer Miley Cyrus, Actress Kristen Stewart and her current liaison Stella Maxwell, actress/singer Katherine McPhee, and Tiger Woods along with his ex-wife Lindsey Vonn. The victims of the Fappening 3.0 are livid, to say the least. Katherine McPhee and Lindsey Vonn are threatening legal action to the perpetrator and to any site that publishes their nude pictures.

“It is an outrageous and despicable invasion of privacy for anyone to steal and illegally publish private intimate photos … She believes the individuals responsible for hacking her private photos as well as the websites that encourage this detestable conduct should be prosecuted to the fullest extent under the law.”
-Lindsey Vonn spokesperson

Like on the Fappening 1.0 and 2.0, the hacks happened though cloud storage on from their phones. When will they learn? If there is something worth hacking, it will be hacked. I posted some guidelines on a previous post on the Fappening 2.0 on how to avoid getting your nudes leaked. Guess it would be relevant to post them again here:

  • Disable cloud syncing services on your phone
  • Disable internet service, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth until after the next step
  • Upload the files into your computer
  • Delete the files from your phone
  • Save the files into a password protected flash drive
  • Delete the files from your computer
  • Store the flash drive in a locked safe or bury it in an undisclosed location
